Grade: Associate- Senior Associate
Our client is a leading firm in financial services sector and is seeking to hire qualified and highly motivated individual to take up the role of ‘Funds Manager’ to oversee the buying and selling of fund holdings and work with clients to grow their wealth.
Responsibilities
• Develop investment strategies for the management of privately Discretionary portfolios, Mutual Funds and Proprietary portfolios with respect to the fixed-income, equities, and Foreign exchange markets.
• Managed investment Portfolio in accordance with existing investment policy statements of assign portfolios.
• Drafts investment memos communication investment recommendation to Executive Management Investment Committee (EMC).
• Communicate and monitor the execution investment instructions to brokers and counterparties for portfolios under management.
• Generate periodic investment reports and documents (e.g. fact sheets for mutual funds and quarterly reports for discretionary and non-discretionary portfolios, etc.)
• Liaises with the regulators on Fund related issues
• Development and management of funds.
• regular meeting with investment analysts and company managers to discuss financial matters
• Make informed Investment recommendations and decisions
• Advise Management and client on current events in the economy, financial markets and Global market
• Assessing and interpreting financial information
• Contribute to the half-yearly and quarterly strategy and outlook reports.
• Produce insightful reports on new policies and/or initiatives from the FGN, CBN, DMO, and other economic managers.
• Participate in the company’s roadshows, conference calls, and telemarketing.
• Complete and respond to bespoke and ad-hoc client requests.
Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, investment or any relevant field.
• Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS), Associate Chartered Accountant, Chartered Finance Analyst
• Registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission is an advantage.
• Proven experience in investment and financial assets management
• Minimum of seven (7) years’ work experience
• Strong understanding of investment strategies and risk management.
• Proven experience in the development and management of funds and other investment instruments.
• Excellent communication, report writing, networking and presentation skills
• Must be proactive and have the ability to take initiative and think “out of the box”.
• Efficient and goal-oriented
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
